Disable Station-To-Station Messages?

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the station-to-station "leave message" function either system-wide or by station? This "feature" has been a point of confusion since day one on this Inter-tel system for my users. To this day, I still get people calling me saying that they cannot retrieve their voice mail, and "for some strange reason, it keeps dialing another extension", when in fact their msg light is lit from a station msg, and not vm. My response is always 368, but there must be a way to disable the "leave message" option when a station calls another station. I honestly see no practical use for this in our environment.

Unfortunately i don't believe there is a way to disable that functionality. It is a cool feature but i can understand where it could be confusing to users who dont know what it is though.
