Location: Del Mar, CA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | My phones tend to reboot about once a day, maybe twice. Then, randomly, it won't be able to grab an IP from DHCP server, which is a Windows 2003 Web server (tried W2k3 Standard too). When we first got the Inter-Tel system, we tried using our Watchguard Firebox router (first an X1000 core, then X50, and X5, etc...) for DHCP, but the IP phones would NEVER grab an IP address from it, which is why we moved DHCP to the server. Anyone? Also, if we set the IP phone to a static IP, they will work for a random period of time, then ultimately it will stop working, until I assign a different static IP address. I am confused ??My Phone shows an "Image Version" of 1.1.5 and a "Phonex Version" of 2.3.3.2. I am running Axxess 9.0 and my IPRC is 9.0. There are two other phones with different image version. One is 2.0.06 and the other is 1.01S. We only have 6 phones in use total. We also used to have a couple legacy Eclipse IP phones on the system long ago, and they rebooted just like the 8622's. What's the different between the image version and the Phonex version listed on the IPT's web interface? I just raised the call control timeout on all 6 IP phones to 30 seconds from 15 to see if that makes any difference. This has been happening for as long as we've had the system (about 4 years now Please help Last edited by orasun; 02-06-2008 at 01:17 PM.

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Sounds like you are running some very old firmware on at least some of these endpoints.... the 1.01s firmware was the first version shipped with the phones. You may have a few different issues happening. As a first step i would get all the endpoints upgraded to the latest firmware, which for the 8622's is going to be 2.2.02. There are several things that could be related that are fixed in the updated firmware. You may have other system/networking issues, as a first step the firmware upgrade would be good though.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() | The above suggestion is right on the money. If it is possible I would recommend upgrading to the most current 9.x version of software. About 9.115 or 9.122 there were some great fixes for VOIP that seems to help voice quality quite a bit. __________________ Life is a highway....
