New to the site and could use some assistance

Hello All,

This looks like an intelligent bunch. Let me extend my greetings to all of you.

I currently administrate an Intertel PBX system. My DB version is 9.007. I have been tasked with locking down a phone in a general user area. Problem is, the people upstairs want the phone locked down to local calls only and only at certian times and/or by access code only.
I am pretty familiar with the day to day tasks of the system, but this one is stumping me.
I know about classes of service (COS) and how to enable/disable them, but I do not know how (or if its even possible) to program this end point accordingly.
I think it may have to do with setting up a rule of deny all local/international unless XXX dialing pattern is executed. If someone here could help. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks ahead of time for any assistance offered.

You have two options. 1. Setup toll restrictions either only allow local calls, which means everyone can only call local. 2. Setup an account code that would require a user to enter the account code if dialing long distance or international. If you do account codes there is no need to setup the COS toll restrictions. Let us know if you need more assistance.
