Problem - Recording Adapter and 8622 Phones - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

I'm using a handset recording adapter with an 8622 VoIP phone and have not been able to record. The VoIP phones have sidetone. The recording system worked when analog phones were being recorded. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it might be?

Check to see what vocoder you are using. On a LAN you should be using G.711, on the WAN use G.729. Otherwise you may want to adjust how many packets are in each frame or intime frames etc.

Not sure about your handset recording device if it was plugged in anywhere other than the handset it will no longer work.
