I am using axxecc 9.0 and have several people with ip phones at their homes as well as phones at their desk. I each person set up in their own hunt group so that when someone calls their desk it also rings their ip phone at home. I would like to set it to where when the desk phone gets a voicemail that both phones light will come on letting them know that there is a voicemail and also set it to where the ipphone calls the correct voicemail box (vm of the desktop extension) when the msg button is pressed. At my old company we had this set up using the same vs of Accexx but I cannot get in touch woth the guy who set it up and my local Inter-tel guy tells me that it is impossible. I know better since my ip phone at my house did this for over a year with no problem. Any help with setting this up would be greatly appreciated.

I have to agree with Inter-Tel on this. Only 1 message light can be lit. Tho if you can get ahold of other tech, please supply info.

I have to agree. Even with a group mailbox, you can't show the message light on more than one phone. I tried for hours, and talked to folks far more knowledgable than me.

It's one of the most common "I'm sorry, your system doesn't support..." phrases I have to tell customers.

"no really, it doesn't, I've checked"
"yup, it's the latest and greatest software"
"yup, it really did get networked with 5 other IP nodes in 5 different states with a simple wizard and import/export, but we can't tell 2 people that there's a message in their department general mailbox, or an assistant that his/her boss has a new voicemail"
"yup, it really was $40k, but that included labor AND training"
"i don't know what we'll be called, maybe Miter-Tel"

Thats got my vote!!!

Just to back the other guys, it's not possible for the Axxess/CS5000 to flash the message lamp on multiple phones without CTI.

In the UK Xarios CTI software will do this. I don't think it's available in the US but its worth checking out.

If you have to have a solution here, what about cascade message notification utilized on the mailbox(es) in question? While not a lamp at each end point, it will still try each endpoint entered in the data base.
