Cool schedule night mode

I have an Axxess 8.0.2 system and would like to set it up to automatically switch into night mode after hours and back to daytime in the morning. Is there a simple way to do this? Or is a remote activation possible? I have looked into setting up a STAR app, but it is my understanding that the features set up on these only take place after the system picks up. I use the same message for day and night, and my only need is for the attendant to pick up incoming calls immediately to avoid four rings after hours. Any ideas?

Star router will work for what you want it can oick up the calls immediatly. The only time you will have to hear a couple of rings before the attendant picks up is if your using Analog Lines and caller id. They system has to wait two rings (which never rings any actual phone) so it can collect the caller id digits. You might have to mess with your music on hold options under the trunk group that the incoming lines ring in on. Depending on set up for your music on hold options callers will hear a short blip of music before the auto attendant picks up.

If you need more info let me know. Just play around with it after hours you'll find it is easy to program. You can always pull up the help menu by hitting F1.

Good Luck

Agree with SilentJ

Star App (Scheduled Timed Automated Router) is the way to do this. SilentJ hit it right on the head. For the music on hold you set the CO Trunk group to use next device and make sure you have the CRA setup for proper music on hold. You can fix the short blip of music by doing it this way.

If you need more help setting up the Star App post a message and we'll help you.

You could use the Xarios Application Server Night Mode Module if you don't want STAR Apps
