Location: Melbourne Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Inter-Tel Axxess QSIG over IP Hi, I've joined a company and I am looking at implementing some Inter-Tel Axxess systems in the UK to connect to a variety of systems in other countries. The systems that are currently in use support QSIG over IP but I can find nowhere that officially says whether the Inter-Tel supports it or not. Does anyone know if the Inter-Tel supports QSIG over IP? Thanks

Location: Melbourne Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Maybe I should simplify the question......I'm wanting to possibly link an Inter-Tel system to other systems including Nortel Meridian, Alcatel 4400. What standards does the Inter-Tel support that would enable it to talk to other systems and provide information like CLI,Name Display, Message Waiting etc? Is it possible at all? Or will the Inter-Tel only talk in this way to other Inter-Tel systems. Thanks

I would look at SIP trunking for networking to unlike manufacturers over IP. On Inter-Tel, you will need the Unified Communicator/SIP Server with the appropriate licensing.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | You can do SIP trunking on 9.0 systems with out the Unified Communicator / Sip Server. SIP trunking is still very limited on features if any at all. You can do the poor mans networking.....add a IPRC card to your Inter-Tel system and add IP Single Line adaptors to your Loop Start ports on your other type of PBX, You then would be abe to acccess IC dial tone on the other system and transfer to where you would need to go. QSig was used on an older dos based device called the IP Interprise or interprise 3200. QSIG implementation used in IP Private networking is proprietary. QSIG networking used with the Axxess is compatible with 3200(N/D) only. It is proprietary and does not conform to the QSIG standard. It is possible to use 3200D's to interface with other equipment. hope that clears it up for you.
