Wow, it has been a while since I have been here. That is what happens when you are seconded to a project that works your knuckles to the bone :-) Quite a bit has changed but I'll assume there are a few regulars still around.
I have been working with VRU scripts in our UCCE system and have achieved quite a profeciency with experimentation and sample scripts. I am now starting to look at working with more of the CRS scripting to get into more detail and manipulation of the call centre services.
I have been searching the web for some good tutorials but more importantly some good samples of CRS scripts. It seems that most of the material out there is for the UCCX or the UCCE Express and not much for the Enterprise version. Even the Cisco support forums are pretty empty in this regard.
Does anyone here have any suggestions or recomendations on where to look?
On the same but different note;
I am experimenting with a test script and am having some issues with the CRS script failing when called from the VRU script.
I have created a script based on an existing working one. When I was working with it yesterday, it would always fail when called from the VRU script. Here is the process I used to create and load the script:
- Created new script
- Uploaded the new script
- Refreshed script
- Added it to the ICM VRU scripts
- Added in the CM in the network VRU script list
Well, I tried various iterations of the script through out the day and it kept failing. I tried simple versions, adding things, changing variables etc… in hopes it was something I did wrong in the script that was causing it to fail.
I gave up at the end of the day.
When I called into the test queue this morning, the script played what I expected it to.
I made an edit to the script and uploaded it and performed the refresh of the script in the script management on the IVRs. I called again and the script failed. I put it back to the simple one and it continued to fail.
Okay, the question. I believe I am missing some step somewhere that activates the updated script. I don't know what or where to look. I went as far as creating a new one and trying again with no success.
Really, it can't be that hard, what simple thing is staring me in the face that I am missing???
Good to be back
