Calls dropping when transferred between DECT handsets
« on: April 06, 2011, 08:00:09 AM »
Hi all,

we have a client with an IP406 and DECT setup.  Recently they have been noticing issues when transferring calls and picking up ringing calls via a shortcode.  In both instances the phone briefly shows the incoming number then disconnects the call.

It is a small setup so they are not transferring between base stations.  There are no obvious errors or congestion counts showing apart from System Status reporting thousands of voicemail sessions, though if you look at the active sessions and congestion count there's nothing untoward.

Has anyone else come across this problem before or point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

Ruth

Can anyone tell me what an NU tone is?  When a user goes to dial the shortcode to pick the call up we are getting an NU tone showing before dialling the shortcode, but I can't find any information on what this is or whether it's good or bad :(
