Hello all,

We are in the process of purchasing a Siemens HiPath 3350. I would like to understand how we can store and dump/output basic call information (inbound/outbound).

I have the option to purchase some software but I think it's overkill for my needs. All I am interested in is obtaining raw data in any structured format for all inbound/outbound calls to analyse number of calls in/out, calls lost, average time to answer, analysis of traffic over time, etc. I am happy to do this analysis myself using my own DB/scripting.

My questions are:
1. Can the PBX store all this data internally or do I need an external storage device?
2. Do I need to purchase software to extract the data?

Any advice offered is most appreciated. We are a small company of 7 people so need to take a little care how we spend our money!

Thanks,
Martin

I have the option to purchase some software but I think itIf I understand your question correctly. Your PBX will store it for a very short time. before it's over written. There are some free ware's out there and some that are low end low cost 20 bucks US. These questions look like ACD data not normally pulled for day to day without ACD" calls lost, average time to answer". Hope this helps you. Also look on this board at I think the nortel downloads there had been a freebie there.
