The idea was to make an image of their HDD on another HDD and then to put it on my PC and load it. So far I have met the following obstacles: 1. the power supply for the SCSI HDD is a bit different. The yellow wire brings +5V and the red: 12V. Usually (check every single PC) it is the opposite. But anyhow, this obstacle was removed. 2. I attached the SCSI HDD of Hicom to another PC and tried to boot. The HDD was not recognized and what was very strange - I did not hear the sounds of cylinders. The HDD was silent. 3. I moved the HDD back into the Hicom - everything is perfect, I can hear the noise of the HDD. Then I removed the SCSI interface cable and left only the power supply. Booted the Hicom and guess folks - there was no noise of the HDD. Does someone have more experience with this to give some suggestions ? | ||||||||
