Call Forwarding

Hi all, I'm an Avaya gal and have only done very basic MAC work in a HiPath 4000 switch. Received the following request:

Please program call-fwd for my 1615 extension and advise how to activate it. I'll need to forward to my cell.

I'm guessing/hoping this is a fairly easy task, so any guidance/advice would be greatly apprecitated. I'd rather not have to engage (and pay) a 3rd party vendor for simple programming. Thanks!

Hi, betty1332. first you you have to tick call forward to main interface in system flags, and in extension settings flags tick fwd external premitted.

to set up call distination
dial *49 + line acces number (0 or 9) plus cell number + store

to activate it dial *44 and hangup
to cancel dial #44 and hang up

If you set a button for fwd you cane use it to activate and cancel the fwd

Code for activating & deactivating forwarding may or may not be the same.
On my system we have *21 and #21 to Activate and deactivate fixed forwarding.
Assuming the user does have the correct COS to fwd to external the other option they have is to use variable call forward which they can do from the phone menu (You can also activate or deactivate fixed forwarding through the phone menu) which is usually a lot easier to explain to users.
