Optipoint handsets

I have a Hicom 300h which only have seen use optisets on it.
I have alot of users wanting to go to the optipoint handsets but dont know wether they are plug and play or do i need to check software version.....?

In the administration application cm-win it only has options for optisets.

I am using the Optipoint 500 standard with key module - No problems at all using or programming in cm-win.

I couldn't get the headset adapters anymore for the optiset advance so was forced to start buying the optipoints - Not that I mind I think they are a better phone for the user anyway.

Haven't seen or tested the Advance model, as it has the 19 feature keys not sure how it would go. I am on version 3 software and are currently looking at upgrading my 300H to a HiPath 4000 (software and processor).

You program the extra 7 keys on the Advance model using the first seven key module buttons in LC-Win. I have many of these, and they work fine on my 300H. However the displays on the Optipoints die in one to two years. The pixels slowly die one at a time over time until the display is unreadable. I have been swapping out Optipoints regularly for years. Fortunately they are covered under my Siemens service contract. I read recently Siemens has stopped replacing the whole phone, and now just sends replacement displays.

I haven't seen any with dead pixels have had a few with busted screens and water damage, they too are covered in maintenance contract. And currently the whole phone is swapped out.
