Red face Hicom 110

Hi

Looking for a quick bit of advice. I'm setting up a temporary office (for about 4 months, then it'll be closed). I'll have two landlines coming in and three or four internal extensions.
I've been offered a Hicom 110, which has been taken out of another office because they've upgraded, with six handsets.
How difficult is the 110 to set up? I've installed LANs before, so wiring & techy stuff isn't a problem in general, but is it reasonably "plug & play" (i.e. plug the incoming landline in one end, and plug the internal extensions in the other, plus a bit of software configuring) to set up, or would it require a vendor to do?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not really plug & play but very easy to get up and running, if there is an external mdf (krone) then you won't need the special punch down tool that is required for terminating on the backframe of the system.

When is it going ahead?

Krone punchdown tools are easy enough to get, if that's what you mean.
Is the punchdown required for the external line(s) going into the PBX? If so, is it a matter of taking a normal phone line extension from the wall, trimming off the plug and wiring direct to the PBX? (I'm in Ireland, if that's any use).

The office is in an existing shop, so there's already a standard land line in the building, but it's not "live" at the moment. We'd be setting up over the next two - three weeks.

Thanks for your help, btw. And aplogies if I'm asking stupid questions - as I said, I'm more used to wiring LANs than phone systems

The back plane of the phone system requires a special punchdown tool but sometimes an engineer will wire it out to a krone mdf so you don't have open the system everytime for testing or extra wiring.

Will see if I can find my tick list for getting things up and running, have you been able to plug in the power to see if it is working okay?
