Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Call Groups Hello – I am very new to PBX so please forgive any ignorance / wrong usage of terms. I’m a network consultant attempting to help a client out w/ their phone system since their phone vender jumped ship. They have “call groups” setup so when someone picks a option off the main menu, it routes to a certain group of extensions. I need to figure out how to move an extension from one group to another. I believe it’s in the data blocks, but just don’t have enough knowledge of the terminology to figure this thing out based on manuals. Can I just compare the call group settings of one phone(in the correct group) and match them on the one I am trying to change? The system is an Electra Elite 192, the phone is DTU-16D-2 (BK) Thank you in advance.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | The option from voice mail most likely rings an SIE key that appears & rings on multiple extentions. Press the button labled 'feature' (or function) and then the button on the phone that rings. The display on the phone shoud tell you the port # that the SIE is programmed on. You will need to access system programming. Then in prog 4-12 change the button the the SIE that you need. Prog 4-37 & 4-38 control the ringing of the SIE key for day & night mode. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for the reply D I can see the CAP #'s by feature + line, but after entering "program mode", I dont understand how to access 4-12 memory block. Just for example, once I get into program mode I can see 01/00:ADD/DEL000 . If i use the star key to arrow left and change the 01 to 04 and the 00 to 14 it dosn't let me. The only 4 that come up w/ options are 00, 01, 02, 03. Am I in the right section? Thanks again

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Once you enter the programming mode the first number of the program you want to be in is controlled by pushing the line keys on the phone. The line keys are the buttons on the phone that have the led lights in them, read from left to right, top to bottom. So to enter program 4-12 you would push line key 4 (LK4) on the phone then dial 12 on the dial pad. The first 2 digits on the display refer to which port you are programming. you c`an press the CONF key to scroll through the ports on the system, or use the * key to move the cursor to the port field and change the number manually. The transfer key works differently depending on which program you are in. In program 4-12 the transfer key moves you from button to button within a specific phone (port). Pressing the transfer key also stores any changes made while in a paticular program. The programming can be quite confusing, especially if you have never done it through the phone before. I would reccomend paying a tech from a local dealer to show you the basics until you're more familiar with how it all works.
