DA to IALX and CLan intergration

Hello all,

On our Admin assistants phone we have 3 buttons for her ext and 4 buttons bridged to the CEO's ext so that she can answer his phone.

The problem is that she want's to transfer a single bridged call to VM. They way we normally do it is by transferring the call to the users ext and letting it role through to VM but in this instance that won't work. How do you transfer the call directly to VM from a bridged ext? Are there any settings I need to make in Definity?

Definity to Intuity VM.

This seems like a basic question but I just got thrown in to beeing the phone guy. I'm actually a NOC engineer so I'm playing catch up.

Thank's in advance

Kurt

Transferring a Bridged call to Voice Mail (Noobie Question)

My guess is that you transfer a bridged call into voice mail like you would any other call being transfered directly into voice mail.

This is how we do it...

While the caller is live on the line, hit transfer and dial the audix extension.
You enter the extension, # of the persons box your transfereing them to.
You dial the guess password, # (Find this in system-parameters features.
Press transfer again when the system greeting comes on.

Let me know if it works or if you need more information.

A quick and easy way is to put a goto cover button on the set. Then you press transfer dial the extension press goto cover then transfer

That's my story And I'm sticking with it

Xfer into Audix

But what I really need to know first is how to transfer someone directly to their audix VM. Is there a special number to dial? I'm really new at this.

If I have 1 line bridged to 4 buttons on the phone and I dial the ext from button one, button 2 will ring. I don't want it to ring, I want it to go directly to VM.

Hmmmm.

Thanks,
Kurt

Thanks

What release is the PBX. If an Admin is on the 1st bridged appeareance and transfers back to the same number all my phones go directly to the first point in the coverage path. If you have an older version this might not work the same. You can change the coverage path to active=y but then the CEO will not ever get a second call. I would think before doing this.

Create an extension like this:

Extension: 2299
Type: 2500
Port: X
Name: Quick Message (or whatever sounds good to you)
Coverage Path 1: 11 (My coverage path 11 goes immediatly to AUDIX)

Create a subscriber in VM.
Call it Quick Message (or whatever sounds good to you)
On page 2 under PERMISSIONS
Make it - Type: auto-attendant
On page 3 (lets see if I can cut and paste this...)
SUBSCRIBER AUTOMATED ATTENDANT MENU

Allow Call Transfer? n

Button Extension Treatment Comment
1: e call-answer
2: e call-answer
3:
4:
5:
6:
7:
8:
9:
0:
Timeout: 2299 transfer
Length Of Time-Out On Initial Entry : 5

"e" goes on the line where your extensions are. Our extensions start with 1 and 2.

You'll need to create a greeting like. "Please dial your parties 4 digit extension and # now"

Now, the Admin has W on the phone. The boss is not available. "Please hold Mr Bush, I'll transfer you into his voice mail". Push transfer, dial 2299, put in your boss's extension #, and push transfer (or hang up if your switch is set up to do that).
This is also good when you want to get a message to someone without having to talk to them....
