Hello all:

I'm looking at programming for the 6400 series phones, and I can't find the assignment layout anywhere for them. (For the 7400 series and 8400 series avaya tells you which button is where on the set itself) Can anyone tell me which order buttons 1-8 on the 6408D+, 1-16 on the 6416D+, and 1-24 on the 6424D+ go? I would think that button 1 for the 6408 would be the bottom and then it would be sequential from there going up the key strip?

Here are my theories:

6408

8

4--12

2 --10

6--14

4--12
3--11
2--10
1--- 9

Am I anywhere near being correct?

Thanks,
Arch

6400 series button assignments

Answered my own question, and I was wrong. They are numbered in the reverse direction.

That's the terminals and adjuncts reference doc from avaya if anyone else needs this information.

Keywords: button assignments, button layout, button numbering, 6400, 7400, 8400
