Is there a way to PREVENT the agent LOGIN ID from displaying when an agent makes a call somewhere? People are trying to call the agents directly instead of using the phone number they should be calling.

Displaying Agent ID when agents call..

Tim,

I had the same problem when I upgraded my contact centers from a split envinroment to EAS. I haven't been able to find a way to block the agent ID from the display...there was a suggestion about hospitality options, but since I don't have those RTU's I didn't pursue them....

Good luck,
Steve

Are your agents making outbound calls? If so, is the caller ID showing as your company's prefix plus their login ID?

If this is the case then there is a way to set up your outbound caller id to only show what you want it to show for certain extensions. Now I personally have forgotten where the settings are for this, but you can specify certain extensions(Login ids) to show as a different number when making outbound calls.

Hope this helps somewhat.

This is correct. It sounds as if you used some DID extensions and configured them as Agent-ID extensions. The command is CH ISDN PUBLIC -- in this from you can set up ranges of extensions and how they interact with the PRI.

I don't know about blocking their ID but I just don't assign my agents DIDs. They all have non-DID extensions and a log in. That way customers MUST call the 800#.

Well, Mr Creech, how nice of you to join us. Is that a recent photo? Terrific likeness.

You are talking about outbound calls, right?

Richard
I've lost a little weight since that pic was taken. I think my arms are skinnier.
