Bought a used partner II system and can not get it to do anything. It lights to power lights, but when I plug in phone line and telephone can not get anything, no offhook or dialtone. Any suggestions or did I get burned buying this unit???

partner II

Break it down to its simplest parts. Put the processor in the center of the main cabinet, and only install one 206 module. See if it fires up. If not, swap for another 206. Once you get one module to work, add another one at a time.

It's older equipment, but depending on the release, may still have lots of life left in it.

Be aware that the nicad memory battery may be shot, or near the end of its life. Requires opening the case and soldering to replace.

Yes, it's in the Processor module, soldered to the daughter board that plugs onto the motherboard. It's a 3.6V, don't remember the mAh, but can be found at www.sandman.com
