Very new to Definity BCS...Help!!!

Good afternoon. I am sorry if I sound dumb at this but I am a Nortel and Cisco guy. I have a guy who is looking to integrate his Definity G3 with a Cisco Call Manager. I know what we need to do (it is a similar to Nortel integrations with CCM) as far as connection and making calls back and forth, but my guy is saying the customer in initial discovery is claiming that they do not have a UDP table in their Definity. Now this sounds similar to a CDP table in Nortel and I assume that to network and call between two Definity's you would have to have one. My questions are as follows:

Where would the customer look and/or modify such a table ?

Is a UDP table possibly an add on feature if you have more than one Definity? (I doubt it bu like i said, not an Avaya guy so I have to ask). Any help would be appreciated. If you need more info let me know.

Hi Awolfe,

The UDP is a uniform dialing plan. And as luck would have it, we have the same setup in our office with a Definity and a Call Manager.

Because the Call Manager we set up had a specific range (not in the Definity) we set up the Definity UDP table to UDP 999 and route all UDP 999 calls to the T1 connection built between the Definity and the Call manager. You will have to build a specific trunk group for the calls between the Definity and Call Manager.

To access the UDP just type : change UDP 999

I hope this helps.
