Location: Chicago area (Lombard) Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Yes, we use auth codes. We have set up a specific COR labled AUTH CODE for just such instances. These phones are usually in warehouse area's. We apply the COR to the extension in question and then call either the manager or user and let them know what their auth code is to make calls. Just so I do not get stuck dialing from an extension with the restriction, I have put a default code in all the switches so I can dial from anywhere. The only thing I have not done is to find if there is a way to monitor which auth code made what calls. I am sure it would probably show on a Call Detail Report, but I have never had a problem that I had to run a report. I hope this helps. 2wire

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Force Users to dial "1" on long distance calls? You'll have to create first a COR dedicated for toll calls, secondly create a routing that whenever a user tries to make a toll call it will require authorization codes before it can process the call. Then you can start creating auth codes.
