I have a Lucent Partner 18 phone and I have a problem. Everytime I hang up from a call, the radio blares on and then I have to press Feature 19 to turn it off. How can I make it so that the radio doesn't come on at all?

Has anyone else had this problem?

The volume on the radio itself is turned up way too high. The Partner will regulate the maximum volume level it sends out to the caller on hold, but when you hang up from a call, and you have Background Music turned on, your BGM volume will "surge" for a couple of seconds before settling down.

Call from one line to another, and put yourself on hold. Adjust the radio volume while listening on the handset. Just make it audible without distorting.

There is also a setting in programming for MOH volume, from 1 to 7. Default is 4.
