I am trying to add a loudspeaker paging to the S8500, TN763D board.
Followed the manual, add did the following:

LOUDSPEAKER PAGING

CDR? n
Voice Paging Timeout (sec): 60
Code Calling Playing Cycles:

PAGING PORT ASSIGNMENTS
Voice Paging Code Calling
Zone Port TAC COR TN TAC COR TN Location:
1: 01A0804 656 1 1 1 WAREHOUSE
2: 1 1 PAGING
3: 1 1 PAGING
4: 1 1 PAGING
5: 1 1 PAGING
6: 1 1 PAGING
7: 1 1 PAGING
8: 1 1 PAGING
9: 1 1 PAGING
ALL: 1 1

When I dial TAC 656, I get a dial tone, looks like it waiting for more digits.
Dialing one more digit (any digit) stops the dialtone.
I used trace to follow the progress, but it doesn't show anything.

I also tried to build a loop start trunk group for that AUX port, but the trunk group wouldn't accept that port.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Yury

Just a quick idea.

Try changing your TAC. Probably will not do anything, but couldn't hurt.

This is kind of like asking if something is plugged in, but since that seems to fix a lot of problems, here goes nothing...

Is your dialplan setup for 3 digit TAC?

Like I said...a stab in the dark...

Yes, it is a three digits code. I read in some old posts about recommedations to add a loop-start trunk group, but the trunk group doesn't allow that kind of a circuit pack to be added. The manual doesn't mention anywhere about adding a trunk group for loudspeaker paging using the TN763 circuit pack.

I also wonder if I need to reset either that port or a circuit pack, but since it has our two MOH on that I am a little reluctant to do that.
