Can you help me out on a problem, I just need some pointers as to where to look.

I have a pilot 621(Xport) going to cov path 3 in cov path 3 is Point 1- C18 (cov answer group) then Point 2-H99

In Cov Ans G18 there are 3 extensions, 647,648,649

If the call is not answered it goes to voice mail, and they leave a message. The problem is, it is not lighting the light, on extension 647 ( I have set it in ext 621 xport to light ext 647 when there is a message,)

I have never had a problem with this before, its always worked..

What am I doing wrong?

could be several reasons. Let me think......

The MWI is controlled via a function called LWC (leave word calling) if its an AUDIX with digital station integration. Check if the specific station has leave word calling enabled.

Check the following login the voicemail system

display administration log. If the systems sends a MWI-on or MWI-off to the pbx and there is a LWC problem, or the subscriber has no station, and thus no MWI, it will show up in this log!

After you have done this, and found nothing, please reply to this forum!

Checked All that everything looks ok but still not working

Sounds like you're out of synch on that extension.

On the extension which is not lighting the MWI...type "clear amw all XXXX". Make sure there are no messages in the VM and then try leaving a new message to see what happens.

ok, try this

check your display features for the feature codes:
Leave Word Calling Send A Message: *40
Leave Word Calling Cancel A Message: #40

the *40 and #40 are just examples.

Just dial this feature access code, extension and # sign. The MWI light on the station would go on, if everything is ok. If not, and you re-administered the station, there must be a hardware problem in either the station or the pbx port.

I guess this info should solve the problem.

Looking for French Canadian prompts for OCTEL ARIA system

A couple of suggestions.

Are you sure that it is not a bad bulb for the MWI. Also, try moving it to 648 and see if it will light that phone.

You can also use the aut-msg-wt on a button. Just put the extension as 621 and this should light when a message in the the 621 box.

I hope this helps.

On Hold Queue appears to send callers back to menu

Hi All, thanks for your help, i have tried all sugestions, i even made sure that all extension names and VM box names match and then performed an Audit Switch Names. in the past this has usually fixed the problem. i have swapped the extensions around, checked all lights are working.

The strange thing is i have other extensions set up like this on the same Circuit Pack and on other CP's and they work great, and yet i have 3 like this that the MWI will not come on.

I have deleted the vm boxes and re added them, would it be worth deleting the actual extensions and re adding it?

can i just check that i am not going mad... extension 621 is a pilot Xport, in the field(621) that you put the extensions number to light the light, i have put 647.
This should then light extensions 647's MWI when a message comes in on 621?

This is how i have the routing set up.
621xport, goes to cover path 3, in cov path 3 (point 1) cover Answer Gorup 18 (Point 2) h99 (voice mail). Cover Answer Group 18 has 647,648,649,657 in it.
Call comes in on DDI(DID) 621, the 4 phones do not answer, call goes to VM. MWI should light on extension 647.

I have removed VM box for 647,648,649 and 645, and only left Vm box for 621, if they dial in to voice mail they can retreive the messages, just no MWI .

Thanks fo your help

Tried everything advised

now i see. the problem is that you have to change the station 647. change this stations MWI to extension 621. Because the station 647 has no hardware it does not make a difference to change the MWI extension for that one. You can change any station you want for displaying MWI for 621, or other, by changing those stations to MWI extension 621!
