Hi!
I have a problem with paging on my S8500/G650 PBX.
We have an external paging which is connected thru the TN747 as well as internal group-page thru the phones. I have three users with analog phones, who use both types of paging a lot.

What happens is that occasionally, after they finished paging and hangup their phones the phones in the group-page or the paging trunk would stay connected giving the impression that the caller simply forgot to hangup. In a few seconds the display on phones which are members of a group-page will change to Audix and the whole group-page group will be connected to our Audix LX voice mail.
Similar thing happens when they use the trunk page connected to the amplifier, the voicemail gets connected to a paging trunk.

I interviewed users who page and used their phones trying to duplicate the problem. I pumped a lot calls in to both pages and just can't make it happen.

The only thing that I can think of is that somehow their connection gets either put on hold and when that call recalls back to their station after the timeout, or they somehow unknowingly transfer that page connection to the voicemail.

Thanks for your help

i could be mistaking with this but if those users have analog stations like 2500 or 500,i say its possible that the feature

Switchhook Flash? y/n

could be the problem. Maybe if the users place the hook on the phone, the switch sees this as a hold and then a disconnect, while the call stays on hold. Maybe you can put the setting on NO, and see what happens.

I will try that with one user, this I am sure will prevent him from transferring calls, but I will let him know that I am doing this for testing purposes.

Thanks
