I'm a Nortel tech but I was wondering if you are on a S8700 system if there is a "Auto-Set Relocation " feature that would enable a user to move his phone to another area and retain all their features including the extension number ??? Many Thxs..

Autoset relocate ???

You can use TTI to "pack the extension" and then "unpack" the extension at the new location.

Check "disp sys feat" to see if it's active.

its a little bit depending on your type of configuration. if you are using ip stations, you can login and logoff with your extension. if you use digital phones in communication manager you could either use TTI, but thats a feature thats more meanth to be for installation actions. If you just want to let the telephone users disconnect their phones on their old workingspot and plug it in on their new ones, you can use the feature thats called auto-moves. based on the serial number of the phone it will pull the extension to it after the switch regognizes it! Its a nice feature in cases you want to leave the responsability of a movement by the users itself!
