Location: Virginia Beach, VA. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | So I'm trying to put my CMS box on the network so that it can communicate with another CMS across the country. Here's my dilemna... The way that it is working now is just with a CLan, and a 192.xxx.xxx.xxx address. It works just like it's supposed to. When I change the IP's to a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx, I get nothing. I get a link light on the CLan, but the link in the switch won't change to active. At this point, I'm still directly connected to the PBX, and I have not added the network piece, so the IP shouldn't matter. An IP is an IP... right? So why does it work with a 192.xxx.xxx.xxx, but it won't work with a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx? It's there something that has to be turned on in CMS, to allow it to see a class "C" IP address? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

Location: Netherlands Rep Power: 4 ![]() | if you`re shure the ip adresses are in the same subnet and you used a crosscable to connect the clan to the cms and you rebooted the cms its has to work. there not realy any settings that effect the ip settings of the pbx and cms. So check in the switch li node-n li ip-i

So there is nothing else in CMS that has to be changed or activated? I just thought there might be something, since Avaya is famous for that RTU crap! Thanks again!
