| Music on Hold Ok. Forgive me as I am a newbie at doing anything more than adding new phones. I have an office of 5 phones. One phone is a 6416 with bridged appearance of the other 4 phones. When someone calls one of the other 4 phones, and there is no answer or it is busy, I need it to ring to another phone in the group of 4, and if there is still no answer, have it go to voice mail. I might be using the terms hunt and rollover incorrectly but here is a graphical-ish layou of what I want to do... Call Ext 1 -> Ext 1 Busy or Rings 4 times -> Call Hunt to Ext 2 -> Ext 2 Busy or Rings 4 times -> Call hunts to Voice Mail for Ext 1. Is this possible and if so, how? Thanks Chris | ||||||||

Location: Tolland, CT Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Rollover or Hunt then on to Voice Mail on Avaya Definity Chris, Welcome to the Avaya World What you're looking for is totally possible. Here's what you need to do. Since you don't want to make a global type of change, start here: Using ASA, login to the switch and type add cov path next. Write down the coverage path number. Down on the bottom there are six fields labeled points. These are the "hops" a call will take when it is unanswered. In the first field, you'll want to enter the extension number where the unanswered call should ring to. In the second field you'll need to enter the hunt group number for your voice mail system (formatted as hxx).* Press F3 to save the changes. Then type change station XXXX (XXXX=the original extension). On the first page of this form, you'll see a field labeled coverage path 1. In this field, enter the coverage path number you just created. That should do it! * If you don't know what your voice mail hunt group number is, press ESC then type list hunt. It will probably be labeled as voice mail, Audix, or some other identifier. If not, an old standby is to look for the extension number you dial to access your messages. Once you have the hunt group number, go back to the add cov path next step. Let me know if you have any other questions! Steve

Location: Western NC Rep Power: 5 ![]() | OR put all of them in a pickup group and give them a pickup button or tell them what the FAC is to grab a line in their group. Are they all within listening distance? If you put them in a COV group. As each one of them leaves their position, tell them to hit the send calls button or FAC, so it doesn't bounce around as much. Best thing to do to IMO is to take one of those #'s and make it a Hunt group and then to Audix which allot of the time is h10. So put h10 in last in the hunt group.
