Training Location in ASIA

My switch is a G3R Rel 8, and I have a recurruing problem with the announcement board.

In the past 4 months the board (TN750) in location 03a02 has been corrupted, and I have had to reload the announcements to it.

The first time that it happened, I replaced the board completely, so it's a different board as well.

What would cause the same location in the switch to corrupt the board twice?

Thanks in advance for any help.

HI Switchtek,

I am not sure how your location is setup. But when we have a board go bad, and send out for a replacement from our insurance company. You can ask to have resolution to the problem. Plus our insurance company wants the problem resolved so they don't have to cough up a grand every 2 months for a new board.

Other than that, I have no clue. I am guessing that nothing else on that carrier is going flakey or bad that you know of as yet, correct. Plus when you say corrupt, do you mean fixable, or was it fried?

good luck,

Thanks for the response. First off, we have maintenance on the switch, so the board was covered by that.

The board was indeed fine, and after erasing it I used it in another slot with no problems.

I'm leaning towards laying blame on the fact that I have some proactive announcements on this particular board, and maybe the agent that changes the announcements is not following procedure.

These proactive announcements are changed several times in a 24 period, and if they are not erased prior to re-recording, then I would think it could cause some issues.

At any rate, I put the proactive announcements on their own board, and that way if this happens again, I won't have to restore 30+ announcements.

Thanks again.
