ASA its a great tool

We just bought a new phone system and having some issues.

We installed the ACS processor unit into slot 3 of our 5 slot carrier. Everything works fine with this.

We then purchased the Partner Messaging R7.0, and attempted to install it in slot 5 as recommended. The status LED remains lit amber, instead of green. Tried several reboots, remove and replace the slot card and the unit. No good.

Tried putting it into slot 1 of the carrier, and it boots up, led turns green as it should. HOWEVER, when dialing the VM extension (777) it just rings and rings. We assigned extension 22/23 to the VM Hunt Group 7.

Is there some rule against putting it into slot 1 in the carrier, and any idea why it wont boot from slot 5?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Partner Messaging R7.0 with Partner ACS

OK, got the voice messaging working. Turns out the extensions are 18-21, not 22-25.

Another question though, is there a way to program the system to have certain options wehre the incoming call rings on all of the phones.

For example, if a caller was to select option "3" it would go to a specific phone, but if they select option "8" we would like it to ring everywhere.

Any help appreciated as always.

Console weirdness

Try having selector code 8 ring a calling group, and put those extensions that you want to ring into that calling group.
