trying to figure out what the limit is for attendants logging in to our call center. I thought it would be a high number, but apparently the other day 10 or so could not log in at the same time.

Just trying to find some command words to bring up the settings. I use Definity Site Administrator.

Thanks for the help,

Tim

Attendant login limit? Definity G3V9i

Tim,

Try Display System-Parameters Customer-options (disp sys cust for short).

Look for the page with your BCMS information. The line item centered over the columns is the number of simultaneous agents that can be logged in at any one time.

This number can be adjusted, but as with anything in the Avaya world the adjustment will come with a "nominal fee".

Let me know if this solves your problem!

Steve

I'm guessing they didn't realize that we had PBX agents logged in as well. That probably pushed us to that mark.

Thanks for the help.....

I also appreciate the training information that you posted about Walt Medak & Assoc. I'm going for a class in July!

No Problem.

Which class are you taking at Medak?

The basic training first.

I don't know a PRI from a trunk. That isn't good when you support a business with 1800 employees that is open 24/7-365!

Good choice.

I don't know if you read my diatribe on the trainings or not, but if so you'll see I didn't take the basic course from Medak...but if I was just starting out it would definitly outrank the Definity course offered by Summaria.

From what was described to me they will start you with a blank switch. You'll go through building it from the ground up. I honestly wish I could do something like that and almost wanted to take the basic course just for the experince of doing this...

Are you staying at the Pony Soldier Inn? If you want some hints for food and the like, let me know!

they give a discount rate for the Staybridge Suites (which in theory is across the street). $119 per night for a two room suite with a kitchen. Free highspeed internet access as well as transportation to and from the Airport

They were talking about changing away from the Pony Soldier (which was a REALLY NICE hotel) because it was so far away from the training facility. If it's the hotel I think it is, it's right up the street (within walking distance) from the training center / office. You'll have better food choices from there but the main advantage from the Pony Soldier was the fact that the city's light rail system was close to the hotel so with a short walk you could go just about anywhere in the city.

Portland was a great city...very clean, very well light and there wasn't many places you could go where you didn't feel safe walking around (unlike most large cities).

Good luck and make sure you write a report on your experinces!

I went to a great one (the name of it escapes me however). Ask Nada for some reccomendations. She brought us out one night to a great place if you like local brewed beer....

Other than that I enjoyed the Rose Garden Mall (or whatever it's called), I took a couple of jaunts on the Light Rail and saw the Rose Garden Arena, etc. I didn't have a rental car so I didn't get to check out some of the nature attractions in the area...

Good Luck!
