I'm a parent at my kids school which installed a Lucent/Avaya Definity Telephone system. Without spending countless hours persuing the school district individual who has all-the-info and takes two weeks to get back to me, I'm try ing to find a copy or .pdf file of the user manual and a list of the standard features that come with the unit. I beleive it has an Auto Attendant feature (standard in BCS) but is not turned on. Any leads or links????

Let me know if you need something else. If you're not fluent with the Definity programming I would reccomend you start with the "little books". They will give you a good feel for the programming basics (adding a telephone, etc). And as always you're more than welcome to ask questions here

there are no copies of any books (let-a-lone little books) on the campus. i have to contact the school district to get any information.

is it true that definity bcs systems come with the auto attendant as a standard feature?

one more manual question

No the auto attendant (Within the Definity) is not a standard feature. It is a part of vectoring. That said what type of voice mail system did you go with? If it's Intuity Audix that would solve your auto attendant needs, since you can configure ANY voice mailbox on Audix to be an auto attendant.

As for the documentation, did you check out http://support.avaya.com? All of the Avaya documentation is available for download in electronic format (.PDF files).
