Leave it to a Texan...

I'm just wondering, can you permanently set the volume of an Avaya phone to the maximum? I'm using an IP phone right now, and everytime I make a call I always have to adjust the volume because it always reverts to the middle volume level.

I'm actually using an Avaya 4612 hardphone, but anyway thanks for the help. I've been through its manual several times, but with no instance of why the volume keeps on reverting to the middle level and how to change that.

I remember there being a system wide setting for volume control on the stations, but my only experince is with V6 & V7....long before the IP stuff. Let me see if I can find what form it's on in my releases and try to correspond to yours...
