Slow dial-up Option 11

Adding a DID extension is no different than adding any other extension. If the range is not currently in use on your PBX, you'll need to modify your dial plan (ch dial).

Let me know how that works out!

Well, I have the phone programmed, but i am not sure about the dialing plan. I have '0' setup for the operator, but my DID range is 0200-0299, everytime I call the number it is directed to the attendant. Do I need DID trunks programmed?
Do you know where I can find information about installing a DID card all the way to programming a DID extension?

You will need to program a DID trunk group. How are your extension setup (3 or 4 digits)? How many digits is your teleco provider sending? I'm guessing you use three digit extensions, and the teleco is sending the final three digits for incoming calls.

So basically build your DID trunk group and if my assumptions are correct if someone calls XXX.XXX.0200 the call will automatically be routed to extension 200.

Let me know if this clears anything up or if assumptions were wrong...

Well, I have a Trunk group setup and programmed a set. The CO is sending 3200 down the line, and in the dialing plan the 200-299 is setup for DAC and I programmed the 3 for 4 digits. I dial the number and it goes to the operator. What am I doing wrong. Even People in Texas, when dialing the number they get the operator.

Has anyone experienced thisproblem before?

OK I would probably point the finger at your trunk group programming...

How are your DID calls delivered to your system? Standard DID trunks or via PRI T1?

The DID's are delivered via 4 did trunks. I can see the trunks as the calls hit them and from there I get nothing at the set or it goes to the operator.

DID extensions

Check the trunk lines....it sounds like something's not set right since by default any calls coming in with unrecognized ANI are sent to the console....I'll pull open my DID setup (I'm still using DID trunks too) and I'll get back to you...
