ASA Emulation manual login to access voice mail (audix)

Hi

I login in manually to a prologix pbx via ASA using the emulation-now i can access the main system but when i try to access the voice mail system-i run into dificulties-and im not sure if its me not entering in the correct sequence or there is an actual issue with audix (the actual voice mail system is available and working for all clients)

the problem is this

i get prompted to enter :sp2
then at the prompt 2>-do i enter :me -(i do this with the main system-)

because when i enter ':me' it just hangs-i would expect to be prompted for my login and password

i am assuming that the manual login procedure is the same for everyone else and that only the actual login and password will be different

Hope that makes sense

cheers

D

Try and reset the port on sp2 with the following command line string:-
1. cm n,y,n,y return should give ok
2. cm n,y,n,n return should give ok
then go in as normal with :- me return
failing this get the tracker reset or the Audix might be on the other 2 ports depending on the Tracker used in which case use the sp3/sp4 commands. Just a thought

Not sure I follow either the original question nor the answer provided.

Have you used ASA to access this Audix before? It is an Intuity Audix, right?

If not, you need to add it to ASA. "Me" is not a login for Audix, there you use either "sa" or "vm". Once it has been added select terminal emulation (last item on the menu) and it will dial the voice mail and leave you at the login prompt. Make sure you add it as a voice mail, not a pbx.

Unless you have two separate modems on your computer, you cannot dial into a pbx and a voice mail at the same time.
