Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Link 1 on TN799DP stuck on Restart All, I have done all the resets and releases I can do with the link. I'm thinking to do a >reset system , you guys think this is the best bet to start this link again? It's been trying to restart for a week now.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | We have reseated the card. Went through the same. This is a new card too. We have a G3si running in V 11 pretty old stuff. When I do >status link it comes out as restarting under status and has in-service/idle in service state. All the other data is loaded correctly. One thing I did today, I did another >test port and it came up with ETH-Prt Error Code = 7 but could not find in any of my documentation.

Is it added in node names, ip interfaces, is the data port added? What is link 1 supposed to be doing? __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty

Location: Chicago area (Lombard) Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I am not sure on this one, but from the error code it looks like it is trying to state an ethernet port error. Per what Marty stated, have you double checked your programming and is everything wired correctly? I am going to guess that there are no license issues. I hope you figure this out and let us know what the error was. Good Luck, 2wire

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | In reply to Y'alls questions: Is this a brand new card or are you replacing an existing card? We just replaced a suspected bad card If it is a new card have you done all the programming for it? Checked all the programming, Port 17 on the TN799DP is assigned. All checks good Is it added in node names, ip interfaces, is the data port added? All of these were previously programmed, everything checks out good What is link 1 supposed to be doing? Link 1 is our port into the switch for network management data and remote access Our IT folks has a router on this link and this was the original complainant, they said that they did not have a link light on the router and they had the switch tech replace the card ( After doing their troubleshooting on the router). When they replaced the card they had the same problem. I suspect that the original problem was this card was stuck on restart. When they replaced it there was no change in the problem. Then that's when they gave me the trouble.

Also make sure that the CLAN is also set for this speed. Do not use autosensing at either end. Does this do anything? __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty
