Question Qwest PRI - timing issues?

We just installed a Qwest PRI in our AT&T monopolized Switch. Both Primary and Secondary Synch is provided by the AT&T DS1's. The Qwest DS1 runs cleans until I throw some traffic on it, then I start getting errored seconds. I am thinking it is a timing issue. Qwest utilizes protocol b. Any ideas how to get the Qwest to utilze the timing being received from Qwest and not the AT&T ds1's?

We are running an Avaya G3si

Thanks

I'm not a Definity person by any means, but if a circuit is clean when there is no traffic, but logs Errored Seconds as soon as the calls start, I would be looking for a mis-optioned "something" somewhere along the line.

If there were a timing issue, errors would be showing up 24/7.

Most likely a mux or DDM is set for AMI coding as opposed to B8ZS.

Do a "test board <DS1 board>" on the DS1 board you are having a problem with. After test 146 completes cancel further testing because the rest of the tests are not relevant.

What test fails? If it is test 144, retest.

When you select a timing source it applies to every T1 in the switch. The only way to use the Quest timing is to change your primary timing source to Quest. Then all the T1s will be timing from Quest.
