Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Transferring Calls Outside the System I have (2) phones that need to transfer calls to an outside number. They are currently restricted. How do I program the switch and only these (2) sets to transfer a call to an outside number? I have a Definity G3si. Thanks in advance.

Type "change cos" and look for the line "Restrict Call Fwd-Off Net". Either pick the COS that has an "n" for that option or change one to that. Make sure the rest of the options match their existing COS. Then go to those phones and give them their new COS. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I changed the COS to allow forward calls off net. I also changed the COR to allow trunk to trunk transfer. Assigned COS to phones. It works, but I can't release the call after I transfer to an outside number. When I hang up, it disconnects the call. I assumed that if I hit transfer, dial outside number and hit transfer again, it would release the call from extension line appearance and they could chat away. The end-user doesn't want the call to appear on phone button once the call is transferred. Am I missing something here?

Location: San Diego, CA Rep Power: 5 ![]() | For your original question, I have been re-reading these posts and I have a question. The process is to press transfer, dial the number, then press transfer again. Are you pressing it the second time? You say you are in post 3 but it is behaving like you aren't. For your new question, have you logged into this PBX remotely before? If not, there are two places to look. First type "display sys maint", is the field allowing customer access to the INADS port marked yes? If it is, then type "ch login <your login>" and make sure that your login is allowed INADS access. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
