Couple questions.

1. Is the DS1 programmed as a lineside T1? What are the rest of the options, framing, format, etc?

2. Have you rolled the send and receive pairs?

3. Type "test board <DS1 board>" and cancel the test after test 146 runs. What, if anything, fails?

4. What does the computer the Dialogic board is in say about the circuit?

AVAYA dialogic tie in

Marty thanks for the quick response here are the answers I have recieved from engineering

Couple questions.

1. Is the DS1 programmed as a lineside T1? What are the rest of the options, framing, format, etc?

Yes, It is programmed as line-side ISDN-PRI, B8ZS, ESF, LINE-SIDE. Protocol Version B.

2. Have you rolled the send and receive pairs?
Yes, If the T-1 connection was't rolled over the Signal Channel 24 wouldn't come up. Remember, I removed the cross over cable just to test without it and we stayed in a red condition until I connected it back up and then the signal channel popped right back up. I am comfortable that the T-1 is programmed correctly and to the specification of the link above.

3. Type "test board <DS1 board>" and cancel the test after test 146 runs. What, if anything, fails?
I have busied out, changed the config, and released the DS1 board each time a change was made. Afterwards I have tested it to make sure that the DS1 board was up and green. . I have "test board XXXX long repeat 3" has always been the maximum in all my years as AT&T/Lucent/Avaya

4. What does the computer the Dialogic board is in say about the circuit?
Yes we have green lights on the Dialogic board service is running

I am not sure on the test procedure he is conducting is that what you are looking for?

D channel is inverted? You mean it is showing up on channel 1 instead of 24?

When you status sig <signal group> does it come up as inservice? I gather that you are experienced with T1's so you know that if the signal group is not in service any other indication is bogus.

You stated that you tested the board but you didn't say if any of the tests 138-146 failed.

We have finally gotten the Avaya and the Dialogic cards synced up. We can make 4 digit calls but when we attempt to call outside the building we get the following error on the Avaya side

1198 ISDN req fac no subscribe Requested facility no subscribed.
See Cause Value 50 on page 160.
UID DIAG/LOC/CV
Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks Steve
