I thought this could be done but never attemted it. we have a dcs network with 11 switches behind it. I'd like to use the Audix as the voice mail behind the Magix

The only way you can use audix at a central ACM/Definity is if you are touchtone integrated. So I don't think it will be an option. Especially if you are DCS'd to other sites.

You can purchase another audix and network it back to the main audix or you can purcahse a Gateway and make the Merlin part of the Definity.

Or purchase an Ip office and network it back to the Definity. IP office can share an IP integrated Intuity.
