IP phones not registering after server re-boot

I have an S8500 with and S8300 LSP, the current software load is 012.02.2.02.0.11.4-10218, and after the customer does a reboot of the server or changes anything in the routers about 20% of their IP phones come back with discovery-Discovering->Registering->Normal display menu (but no dial tone)->repeat
I am scheduled to upgrade the firmware and software of this machine using the PCN 1434B, which upgrades the software to 012.02.2.112.0, has anyone had this problem before? Avaya has not with this release but they have a patch a release 3.0.

Many possibilities with this one.

First, I would check on the version of image file being pulled from the tftp server. There have been a handful of problems noted, and resolved, dealing with this particular problem.

Firmware updates are a must!

Additionally, you may look to resources... both in capacity allowances and with hardware supporting your IP phones (soft/hard).

What type of MedPro resources do you have, and at what quantities...?

How many registered IP devices are you allowed on your system...? (Display Capacity... as I'm sure you well know)

Have one Medpro, HW 20 firmware will be current, 378 IP licenses, 248 being used. Going to upgrade software and firmware hopping that stops this problem.

Very good! Every now and then you need to beat on it with a big stick.
