Location: Netherlands Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Why would you want to do this? In case of a hardware failure you do not have the backup anymore. My advise is to download the free tftp/ftp tool from the avaya website and use this. Maybe you could install some linux ftp server but we never did this; we want to keep things as default as possible | ||||||||

The point of the backup is to have a copy of the translations on another storage device in case the hard drive fails. Sounds logical. Thats probably the reason why avaya provides a combination of ftp and tftp software on their website. The ftp server is also used to backup the users speeddials/phone settings. | |||||||||

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hello to all... you have a couple of options to save your translation: 1. cha sys main / there you find the option to set when the S8xx0 save the translation to the local drive 2. you can use a external usb drive with a flash card (you can buy it from avaya) 3. if you have a ftp server in your company you can configure a "save translation" via the web administration interface... have fun... | ||||||||
