Question Avaya CM3.1.1 with S8300 TFTP problem

Is it possible to backup translation to S8300 harddrive by schedule backup? If yes, how to do that.
Thanks & Best Regards,

Why would you want to do this? In case of a hardware failure you do not have the backup anymore. My advise is to download the free tftp/ftp tool from the avaya website and use this. Maybe you could install some linux ftp server but we never did this; we want to keep things as default as possible

I will have to agree here. When you save translations you are saving to the harddrive. The point of the backup is to have a copy of the translations on another storage device in case the hard drive fails.

I might be wrong, but I don't believe Avaya even provides that option for that same reason.

Sounds logical. Thats probably the reason why avaya provides a combination of ftp and tftp software on their website. The ftp server is also used to backup the users speeddials/phone settings.

hello to all...

you have a couple of options to save your translation:

1. cha sys main / there you find the option to set when the S8xx0 save the translation to the local drive
2. you can use a external usb drive with a flash card (you can buy it from avaya)
3. if you have a ftp server in your company you can configure a "save translation" via the web administration interface...

have fun...
