Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello, Im trying to add a new DS1 using a TN464 with a 120A3 CSU in our G3si. I copied the settings that I have on the other CSU we are using for the same application (Avaya IR). Im not able to add the CSU at all. I thought I remember hearing at one point that there was a limit to the amount of DS1 boards you were allowed. We are using ( Joel

If the field is not there it is because of the card vintage, the fix for that is to replace it with at least a TN464F. It might still work with the 120CSU. When you put the TN464 and CSU in does the green light next to the number 3 on front of the DS1 card turn green? If it does, the circuit may still come up but if you test the board you will probably fail test 138. That test shows two things, loss of signal and having an integrated CSU but not setting it for that on the DS1 page. I would get a newer card. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Marty

In my switch I do have an entry for total number of DS1s with Echo Cancellation but that number is 332. If I put that many T1s in my switch, that would be 15 per port network, it would die. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Capacities will not be the issue here. You are not running into trouble adding the DS1, it's only when the Integrated CSU option is attempted on the Add/Change DS1 Form that experience the trouble. This is due to the following reason, which I found in the Avaya document; Installation, Upgrades, and Additions for Avaya CMC1 Media Gateways- 555-233-118 Issue 10 June 2005 "The basic ICSU requires a TN464E or TN767D or later suffix. The enhanced ICSU requires a TN464F/GP/HP or TN767E or later suffix. The enhanced ICSU can also be used with the TN2464 or TN2313. So, it's really a matter of hardware! You need a supported vintage of circuit pack, is all...
