406 or S8300?

Yes, this and many future questions from me will probably be considered to be newbie questions, but our company needs to purchase a PBX for our call center, we won't need more than 75 concurrent lines at any one time. Do we really need something as large as the S8300 or will the 406, using its expansion modules, be enough for this venture? Any and all help is appreciated, please be somewhat specific as to the differences in accessibility these consoles have. Thanks!

I have copied this to the IP Office list because someone there can explain that machine better than I because I have not worked on them.

By 75 lines I assume you mean a total of phones and CO trunks. An S8300 could handle this easily but I suspect the IP Office would be cheaper. I do not know its' capacity for growth though. I do not recommend putting in a system that is maxed out (or close to it) when it goes in. For a small system you can also look at an S8100, S8400, and Prologix. You will pay more up front if you want IP phones as opposed to traditional digital and analog phones.

It all depends on costs. Basicly the ip office pbx is much more cheaper than communication manager. To bad that the INDeX is end of sale; this is a product that levels between the ip office and communication manager. Reason for end of sale for the INDeX is that they use elements in their hardware that do not go along with descent health enviroment guidelines..(too much lead (Pb))
