Location: PA Rep Power: 8 ![]() | Centrevu CMS at 99% full Hey folks, I'm a little new to the AVAYA and I was looking for a way to direct select the trunks from a phone for testing. We had reports of some noisy trunks and all sounds ok at the d-marc. I have set up my phone to allow me to dial the TAC but the trunk selection is random. I have a Definity G3si. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff | ||||||||

| Direct select trunks for testing Hi, If i understood your question correctly you can do that by doing like this 1 - Assign a COR to your extension ( in page 1 form of your COR configuration there is a field named Time of day Chart or Partitioned Group Number, depending how it was defined in yor sys-parameters customer-options, by default is one, change it to number 2 if you know it´s free ) 2- you must create a route pattern, where you define wich trunk group it will go out 3 - first do a list partition-route-table to see what rout index is free then create a partition route table ( command: ch partition-route-table x, where x is the route index free number). You will see a table with PGN 1 and so on which corresponds to the number you inserted in your COR page 1 form in step 1. An example : Route index 1 to PGN2 number below it also number 1 What does this means, it means a station with a COR which has in that field already explainded in step 1 will go out through route 1. 4 -but to acomplhish this you must create an ars , (ch ars ana xx ) and there you must specify your dialed string, min, max, call type and in the field route pattern you MUST put an pxx, where xx is the route index you have chosen earlier in step 3. Hope i was clear and this helps you Cheers, and a Merry Xmas | ||||||||

| An easier way would be to use a Facility Access Code (FAC). Do a "ch fea" and go to page 2, where you see "Facility Test Calls Access Code" enter a number. Assign a COR to your phone that has an FRL of 7 (so you don't run into any restrictions), in that COR set Calling and Called Party Restrictions to "none" and Restriction Override to "all". You will also see an entry in the right hand column called "Facility Access Trunk Test", set that to yes. Make sure the trunk group is set to "Dial Access" yes. The Alpha part of the port address is replaced by a number on your phone dial, A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, and E=5. For the purpose of the example we will say you set the FAC to 123 and the port address you want to access is 01C2010. You would dial "123(hear confirmation tone)0132010". You will now be connected to the incoming dial tone. Once you have done your testing I recommend closing this access until you need it again by removing the FAC, this can be a door for toll fraud. | ||||||||
