I have a fairly quick qiestion and anybody's help would be greatly appreciated...

Can I have duplicated G650's while running high reliability? I thought duplicated G650's was on critical only.

Thanks for you help,
One confused Avaya Eng.

Well, if I have an s8700 with mcc's connected via centerstage, can I have 2 G650's per floor? As in 06A AND 06B?

S8700

Yes that is possible to do that. I would not consider that a duplicate, that is why I asked the question that way.

DID

I have the same setup. My cabinet 10 consists of two stacked G-650s. Both 10A and 10B have one ethernet controlled IPSI. I’m currently running CM 2.2 and I have all new firmware on my cards and to date I’ve had no problems.

In high reliability you duplicate IPSI connections to the port networks containing IPSI cards, thus duplicating the ethernet connections to the port netorks. If you end up having issues with your expansion interface cards from your CSS, then you will still lose that port network.

Does that help?
