Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Call Recording - Beeping It was just brought to my attention that there are 6 states in the US that require a beeping noise to be heard if there is a possibility the phone call will be recorded. We are currently using Symposium 5 and IDVR (known as Call Parrot now) version 4. I am not aware of a way to play this beep from either of these applications. Is this something that can be done from the switch? If not, and any of your call centers do this, please let me know how it is being done. Thanks In Advance, Jerad

The CallParrot client allows you to filter the beep tone in or out of the recording when a call is played back. Refer to the CallParrot Server and Application Installation and Administration Guide (661-00001-01) for further details. -> Actually I found the parameters in document 662-00001-1 which is the TALC installation and administration guide... You should have those docs on your Telstrat CD's, it's about 1.4MB. Let me know if you get stuck finding the doc. Last edited by Kalahary-Harry; 07-09-2008 at 03:03 AM.

You can PM me your e-mail address, I will mail it to you. Maybe the snap shot helps you out so long... where there is a will, there is a way

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | In Ld 23 for Acd programming you need to change OBTN. Who do you want to get an observe tone? (no) (when the supervisor presses the Observe Agent key and an appropriate Agent key, a periodic warning tone is supplied. This warning tone lasts 256 ms and is repeated every 16 seconds. The tone can be heard by the agent AGT, the caller and agent ALL, or neither NO)

This is true only for the scenario of a supervisor OBSERVING an agent. JDM requires to indicate to his callers that the call may be RECORDED, which in his case is done via a TALC card from Telstrat. The TALC card replaces a Nortel DLC card and sends the voice and data via an ELAN to a recording server. But JDM should probably activate both since the difference between OBSERVING and RECORDING is academic to paranoid callers.
