Using 'Not Ready' Activity Codes

Hi everyone!

Firstly let me qualify this question by admitting, I'm an absolute newbie to Symposium - and it's a system which my predecessors weren't exactly using to it's full capabilities.

Anyhoo... in taking over the centre, I've decided that 'Not Ready' activity codes would be a very, very handy thing, indeed.

Now, setting them up within Symposium seems straight forward enough, however the manual gives absolutely no indication of how agents would go about actually 'using' the codes.

(ie: What do they press on thier phone, to place them into these different states.)

At the moment, they'd simply press the big ole' 'NOT READY' key, in order to declare themselves 'Not Ready'. But I'm thinking that using the codes to differentiate between 'Not Ready on Lunch' or 'Not Ready Doing Admin' - will require some additional fingering on thier part.

So my question boils down to simply - 'What do they press'?

Thanks!
- Simon

Ok, lets say and agent is done on a call. The phone should go into Not Ready by itself, you can decide how long that is, 5 seconds, 9 seconds, what ever. You have to put a key on the agent phone, ACNT. Have the agent press the ACNT key, dial in the not ready reason code, then press the ACNT key again.

Thanks, John! Couple more questions for you....

1. What does ACNT stand for?

2. Would setting up the ACNT button be done through Symposium (which I can do myself) - or though the Switch (which in my case, only our IT Dept can do) - or through the Phone Base-Set?
