Help! Thrown under the bus!

Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for your responses. Here's what's happening...I have a customer upgrading from SCCS to CCMA 6.0--I have never seen ccma, and I have to do any post upgrade work and training.

I have found some limited documentation and demo's, but this customer is very savvy and I don't want to make my company look bad.

What I am looking for is maybe some sort of check list for items I must do after the tech finishes the upgrade. I am not sure if it's a migration or upgrade to new server. I am hoping the dating migrates to the new platform, but not sure if I will need to copy anything before it takes place.

Also, if anyone has any training documentation, or a place where I can find some, please let me know. I have been camping out on the Nortel website for days and just can't find what I need.

There is no one else that knows this product, soooooooooooooooooo....it's just me!

If you have anything I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!!

well, first, SCCS is different from CCMA. SCCS is now known as CCMS. CCMA is previously SWC (Symposium Web Client).

CCMS (Contact Center Manager Server)
CCMA (Contact Center Manager Administration)

You may need a new server for SCCS to CCMS upgrade because of higher hardware requirements. Have a copy of the Platform Recovery Disk and the latest database backup.

If you are using the SCCS

The SCCS fat client is no longer supported on CCMS, that is why you must upgrade to CCMA (web server which emulates the SMI workbench, just like SWC).

This is the one thing I miss the most, the fat client. Why did they get rid of that?

I would tell you to go to the Nortel site and download the documentation for Contact Center 6.0. You can find this under Contact Center Portfolio.
I would recommend you review the following NTP's:
297-2183-903, ...912, ...926, ...927, ...934.
...927 is very informitive about the migration/upgrade from SWC to CCMA.
Has you will see you have to be on WIN2003. That is why you have to migrate SWC to 2003 and then upgrade to CCMA. Pay close attention to the migration steps as they are critical to the the success of the migration.

Good Luck
