Scripting for SCCS 4.2

We're currently running SCCS 4.2 and I'm looking to get training for Scripting.

Would Global Knowledge's 0326C (Nortel Contact Center - Manager Scripting 1, Release 6.0) be adequate, or are there way too many changes for it to be useful?

The best solution would be upgrading to 5 or 6 but that's not an option right now....

Scripting

I took the Advanced Scripting from Global Knowledge and it was great. I had been using Symposium for about 7 years but had never taken any formal training. I took the course and it gave me the fundamentals I lacked.

GIVE RING BACK

for example. After I took the class, I went through all of my scripts and did what Paula Abdul would say and "made them my own."

I hope this helps.

Yes and No.... I'm glad to know the course really helps. But what I'm wondering is if the scripting course for CCM6 would be beneficial if I'm going to be scripting on 4.2

Scripting

I do apologize for not being clear and I had realized that after I sent my note. The CCM 6 scripting course is beneficial because it teaches the fundamentals of scripting that is needed for 4.2, 5 and 6. Yes, you are correct that it does teach you some things that only apply to 6 but for the most part, it's universal.

When I went to class, there were individuals that had Symposium 4.2 and I was one of those individuals but I quickly upgraded to CCM 6.

That's my 2 cents.

I recently went to the class and have SCCS 4.2

Scripting is the same across all versions for the most part.

I have done both of those courses and find it very beneficial to all Symposium levels from 4 onwards, there are very small minor differences, but generally they the same!
